Would it be acceptable to have one flat small wallet for notes and cards then have a little man pouch thing somewhere else for coins because I am getting sick of my chunky wallet I have now yet I still need/use coins

What do you guys tend to do with your coins. And what do you think of coin pouches

I got sick of carrying coins around.

I keep a roll of quarters in my car for parking and I bought a cheap-ass plastic coin sorter thing (cost me $3) that I keep at home. I got some wrappers from the bank and whenever I pay cash and get change I dump it in there as soon as I get home. Of course, that does mean that I end up with the coins in my pocket for a bit until I return home and do so.

there are some wallets with a small section for coins. Somebody else might give some examples but I've seen some very nice ones that I've liked.

Yeah, there are some wallets that have a small, zipped section where you can store coins. They usually tend to be rather bulky, though.

I was speaking of non-zipped versions which are slimmer and more elegant.

Oops, my bad. I usually tend to buy the really slim trifolds, and storing coins isn't exactly on my list of top features for a wallet.

Louis Vuitton has quite a few options in what you're looking for. Check out the Taiga leather.

Are coin pouches an accepted thing though or is it something one would be ridiculed for

I have my bifold wallet and a small matching coin purse. If I don't want to lug around coins, I leave the purse at home.

Coins are not money. Throw them away.

Meters take quarters. That makes them money. Everything else is shrapnel and can be safely jettisoned.

I hate bulging wallets, so keeping my coins in there is not an option. (Right now I keep a slim wallet that only holds cards.) However, I also hate the sound and feeling of coins jingling in my pockets.

Solution? A cheap plastic coin purse that I keep in my messenger bag. My one cost $2 from Chinatown and has the Pokemon character Pikachu on it. It's a terrific conversation starter.

There are even better ones out there. I just found this one on Etsy, which is perfect if you're a former Nintendo freak like me:
