I should point out that this:

http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_oc1kYik0o8...h/IMG_0071.JPG

Is the correct position if you standing over a downed (but still game) opponent. Note that the weight is mostly on the back leg, and the body is tilted slightly backwards - this means that upkicks are easily avoided. The knees, especially on the leading leg, are slightly bent, to protect against kicks to them.

SPURR jeans are really interesting. They are a remarkably saturated indigo, nearly purple, and the denim is very tightly woven, with little sizing, so although they are 13.5 ounces, they feel lighter and softer than comparable weight denim from other companies.

That quilted jacket also looks much better in those pictures than in the press stuff. Very nice stuff Mauro, I'll have to go dig around for some spare change in my couch...

that contrast shirt is pure sex and is priced a lot more reasonably than Purple Label and some Black Label. I'm looking forward to seeing the cuff links you'll be carrying.

Just saw this season's Spurr stuff on the blog: WOW! That pea coat is amazing looking, and the yellow selvage looks pretty cool. Most of all, those items look so much more wearable than most casual clothes at similar prices.

+1 I don't know if I can go to your shop when it opens, Mauro. I'm pretty sure I won't be able to afford my winter vacation if I do.

Oh ****... Time to call in the favors.

BTW, Fok's right about the Spurr jeans. I saw them a while back at Barney's and I hadn't seen anything like them before. I really liked the weight and color, both of which reminded me of an "upscale" Cone.
