i have a straight razor, it is not easy to use and to get comfortable with it takes some practice.

I just got a merkur hd.. I'm good for the first few passes but when I try to get a very close shave i nick myself... I'm also a big fan of the AoS preshave oil.

Haha yea. It's just when I touch up places that I miss (primarily under my jawline) that I end up cutting myself. Its much safer than I thought it was going to be though.

I use Merkur HD with Mama Bears soap, I really enjoy using a DE now; its sorta like a man ritual.
I'm not gonna lie though sometimes when I'm in a rush (most weekdays) I will resort back to disposable razors.
