MTM Boston

I am thinking of getting a package from Astor and Black unless someone here can suggest a better alternative for me locally in Boston.

Drinkwater's in Cambridge is an option - will be more than Astor and Black though - yet the customer service will be miles beyond A&B. I opted for Thick as Thieves (a huge part of this forum), in which you measure yourself and send it to this great guy in LA, and I was very pleased. I know that's not local but in a month you'll have an amazing suit. Brooks Brothers has some MTM options, again at a higher price point, the Thick as Thieves is very affordable and the quality is top notch. Whatever route you decide we'd love to hear which way you went, and I appreciate an additional person trying to keep Boston tasteful.

Do you want MTM or are you interested in bespoke as well? Some others to consider:

Ari Boston (MTM Belvest, Caruso, and Samuelsohn)
The Custom Fit (MTM and bespoke; Greenfield)
Louis Boston (MTM Brioni, Oxxford, Kiton)
Rizzo Tailor (Bespoke)
Raymond Personal Tailor (bespoke)
Mr. Sid (MTM Brioni, Zegna, and Corneliani)
Zareh's (I think they do MTM Oxxford and Hickey Freeman but not certain)
Barney's (I believe they offer MTM in several brands)

I think the lowest cost option among the above is likely MTM Samuelsohn at Ari Boston. I've heard bespoke from Rizzo is also quite reasonable for the entry-level fabrics.

What would Sammy MTM at Ari likely cost?

Tcameron,

I would love to help you find a loft...tons of great properties in and around the Boston area.

Just let me know if I can be of any assistance. I appreciate your suggestions and would love to return the favor if I can.

bump. any new info or suggestions. I am potentially looking for a MTM tuxedo. Drinkwaters looks great and their suit prices are in my range, but unfortunately their tux MTM prices are 2x their suit prices.

sooooooo...any other suggestions?

Whats been suggested above is pretty much it.

Thick as thieves is a good option of you are a thin shorter guy. Does not work well for athletic or tall men.

If you like their style, and can deal with their odd behavior at times,
the Andover Shops in Cambridge and Andover offer MTM. When I
visited them last year I was treated very well. However I didn't
order MTM.
