Going to be in Phx in a couple of weeks with some time. Anyone have experience with these two in the Phx area?

Cheers !

I haven't lived in Phoenix for about 5 years, but when I did I found some great deals at both. Also, you might want to check out Saks Off 5th. Its in the Arizona Mills mall (US60 and Priest), as is Last Call.

im pretty sure the off 5th is closed now. and if you go dont bring your wife with you. if you're going for clothes, honestly all the stuff has some defect. you just have to find out the severity of it and it takes some looking. as for shoes, what size are you. the smaller the size the better the selection usually. if you stay in the store long enough you can witness the havok that ensues following a restocking. its like throwing food to fish at those fish hatcherys. and just so you know they dont allow returns so look over everything carefully.

as for the Rack, eh its more for women but if youre looking for last season then you can find some nice things at a discount

I'll be in the area in November and wanted to see if I could find some deals. So taking into consideration what you've said, what would you suggest as good bets for those who will be in the Phoenix area. What about the NM Last Call or Nordstrom Last Chance? How about Well Suited consignment. If the pickin's are slim should I hop on Southwest and go to LV or LA for better outlet buys e.g. RL?

Anyone have any experience?

Do the discounters locations make any difference, i.e. one NR location is in Scottsdale which has more wealth than the other location, Chandler. Does Nordstroms spread the loot around evenly? Or do the swanky locations get the swanky stuff and the other locations get the cold, cold leavings ?

In general, the quality of a Nordstrom (and Nordstrom Rack) depends on location...and it can vary significantly, imho.

I went to the NM Last Call at Franklin Mills in mid-June and found it less than worthless.
