New JJ Abrams TV show "Fringe" - Page 2

I thought this was really good. I was hooked from the get-go and thought it was well done, without being an Xfiles ripoff

Abrams said in EW that the first episode, in his opinion, was the weakest and that it gets much better as the season progresses

The main chick is really hot, she doesnt look so good in the print ads but she's quite a stunner on tv

I co-sign with everything you said. 1. Fringe is AMAZING. It's great to watch in conjunction with "ripping one's consciousness open." 2. What's her name is gorgeous. Simply put, she's one of God's gifts to mankind. When she stripped down, I lost it. +1111111

What a tacky show. The fake science talk was boring, Joshua Jackson's supposed smart-alekyness was embarrassing, and you have to roll your eyes whenever casting directors seeking a serious, smart, strong woman can only find a platinum blonde with the delivery skills of a limp-wristed paperboy.

^^ Just watched the second show. Missed the pilot. Overall, I thought it was pretty good. I'll give it a few more chances to develop.

Walter carries the show. It helps that the chick is pretty cool.

2nd episode was strong...I think this show will cement itself on our regular watchlist

I dont mind Joshua Jackson, he's basically playing Pacey but it works for him and some actors have a range of >this< big which is fine by me (Julia Roberts for example has the same range, but is a huge star)

Necrobumpage because I just watched the first season on DVD and thought it was great. Couldn't stop watching.

Purchased season 1 solely on the fact that Abrams was producing (huge lost fan) and just finished it about a week ago. I thought it was solid and am looking forward to season 2.

I watched the pilot so far. Thought the female lead's behavior was inconsistent and annoying, and mr. fat-face from dawson's creek was not as funny or as likeable as he was supposed to be. Most of all, I felt like I was watching an episode of lost which makes me hate it. The stupid plot twist in the end combined with no questions answered and the crap in the end made feel annoyed, because it's the same garbage they did with lost. Fool me once, shame on you, fool me twice, shame on me, people shouldn't watch crap that's just being made up as they go.

I don't think the main chick is hot... and I was hooked onto this show but got bored in the middle of season 2, I think.

^Feel the same way. First season I was counting down till the next episode but now if I am not intrigued within the first 5 minutes I just get bored and pay no attention to it.

On the other hand, Lie To Me is quite good. Even though Cal Lightman is just Dr. House with lies meets Jack Sparrow.

You should try the first two or three episodes. The pilot really wasn't so good. By episode three there is more character development, better stories, and better acting. My only gripe about the show is that at times it can be a bit formulaic. A little predictable, I guess. But it is still good. I have never seen Lost and never want to, so take that into account.

^^I've also only watched a couple episodes of lost, but my college roommate was a huge lost fan and I saw what the show did to him lolz. I'll try watching the next episode or two.

it's kind of a LOST/x-files hybrid. i like it and have watched since the beginning. sure, it gets a little formulaic and goofy at times, but it's a pretty solid show. the old man dad is pretty damn funny.
