I was sad to see Bodie go.

Omar was the only character in that show with a moral code. It was a dark day when he died. I didn't talk to anyone for weeks afterwards.

Yah, that was hilarious seeing him in that role after seeing him in the Wire.

It was almost the same character too. Minus the drugs and violence.

Me too. I suspect that most people were. Maybe everyone except Wallace.

What gave me some severe cognitive dissonance, was to see Pooter working at a shoe store, in one of the late episodes.

So true. Omar was almost an urban legend, but in the end he was human like us all. One of the things that made the Wire great was how it should innercity cycles. How negative things get passed from parent to child, old to young. Kenard popping Omar showed how Omar became a part of the cycle, just like when he shot the dude when he was a boy in IIRC season 5. the best characters on that show were the homosexuals omar and snoop anyway----i was watching Trapped in the Closet (the R Kelly abomination) and I was shocked to find that Omar (or rather the actor that plays Omar) played a cop in that movie/opera-----he was being cuckolded by a midget----and (SPOILER) the midget impregnated Omar/Cop's wife Bridget----while watching a marathon of Gidget! (the last bit is my own invention) to further derail----I read that Will Oldham plays a cop in Trapped in the Closet (that's why I was watching to begin with---but I couldn't stick with it to verify this)
