Is that a metal version of a silk knot? If so, it's rather nice!

What's the point of this thread? We all know how to use the internet to go to charles tyrwhitt.com or some other such web site if we want to see boring shirt/tie combinations.

I've never bought anything from Tyrwhitt, you'll have to start that thread yourself.

I guess so. But matchy-matchy is usually for items in designer or fashion colors. Blue is such a basic, neutral color. I mean you wouldn't call a blue end on end shirt with a navy solid tie matchy-matchy. I happen to like this combination. I might substitute the spots on the tie with pink or red ones.

FNB, just out of curiosity, are you originally from the UK or are you just living in the UK? The reason I ask this, of course, is because the English tend to choose ties that are a lot more... flamboyant and yet make a statement. Your ties seem too tame compared to most ties that I have seen Englishmen wear (and yes, I have spent some time there) and not particularly... English? Or it could be that I just don't get it - feel free to shoot down my assumptions!
