I don't really know my US size anymore -- all my high quality shoes are Made in England... I ordered these in an 11, on the assumption that EG ran smaller than C&J, and I think that was the right choice. Like I said above, they're pretty snug, and if they were available in 11.5, I might have been tempted; as it is, I suspect things will get much better with wear.

I would advise using a bit of leather conditioner on the uppers before wearing the shoes (I do that with all my new shoes), and then enjoy.

Nothing wrong with a bit of conditioner, but these shoes are not really old.
They arrived at the Kurt Geiger stores in December 2007.

Arrived in Dec 07 and only sold one pair at full retail. Not exactely a roaring sucess until a sudden rush of orders in the last 48 hrs.
Whoever suggested these must be a bit nervous in the next staff meeting

Seriously. At 175, that is probably below KG's cost, no?

Thanks for going to the trouble of taking and posting the pics literasyme. They look rather more purple than I thought they would. I was expecting something with more red/brown .... more like a shell cordovan #8 type shade.

In your estimation, do your pics give a fair representation of the color? I realise that it will change according to the light...

Thanks again.

They're a reasonable approximation. I'd say in real life, in full daylight, they look a little purple, in normal light they appear more like a brownish black -- in any case, they're very dark, and I'm sure would simply be regarded as black by many people on the street.

I was out this afternoon & evening, so they'll probably try again tomorrow (I'm in virtually all day tomorrow). Though... they didn't leave a note, which they normally do. PM me the link with the parcelforce tracking number, just so I can chase up where it is.

Don't worry about doing this grimslade. I just picked up yours (and a few other members' shoes!) from the local Post Office. Will PM all the relevant parties later today with their new tracking numbers.

I got this reply from KG:

Thank you for your interest in purchasing goods from the Kurt Geiger.

At this time our online store is unable to deliver to destinations outside of the UK and Ireland or accept payment from a store registered outside of the UK.
Alternatively you can contact Harrods on 00 44 207 730 1234 who are able to provide international mail order. Please provide the Kurt Geiger product that you are interested in such as brand, style name, style number, size, colour.
The store will post the goods to you, please note there is an international postage charge based on the weight of the parcel. The cost usually starts at around £20.00.

Thank you for your interest in Kurt Geiger and please do not hesitate to contact us if we can be of any further assistance.

Kind regards

Customer Relations Team

I guess I should specify the wine or navy Chelsea is what I'm interested in.
