Your recommendation for a wine purely for drinking

I vote for a chilled Albarino on a hot summer day. Crisp, light, clean and good acidity provides for great wine for drinking a summer day. What are your recommendations?

Riesling Kabinett or Spatlese from the Saar, for much the same reason.

Lucien Albrecht Pinot Blanc. Under $13 and it's very good, definitely a staple wine of mine.

Anything by Chateau Ste. Michelle in Washington state. They beat most French wines without even trying...

+1, I'll drink Riesling also from the Alsace and from the italian Dolomites. For variety, try some white bordeaux...different style but perfect for summer.

+1. Their Riesling is a really good wine, especially at 8-12/ bottle.

Another +1. Easy to find, easier to drink. Back in the ol' college days I'd often swig down a bottle out on the patio for lunch on perfect 72-degree spring days before heading to Sociology class.

I like Moscato. It's sweet (maybe a bit more) than Riesling, but cost 1/2 the price.

It's great chilled.

Amazing, and I'm sure you had the best contributions in class, too.

Making into homemade vinegar. I've got my first [potential] batch going right now.
