My one and only purchase at UO is a white tee with a black and white photo of an old school nintendo controller on the front. It shrank a considerable amount after the first time i washed it, rendering it unwearable.

To sound less like a douchebag you lied about where you bought a pair of jeans.

What the hell.

Last fall I picked up a Stapleford buffalo check flannel. I still like it and don't regret the purchase.

However, I once bought a pair of gray jeans from their website with the impression they were a "slim" cut, but when I got them discovered they were basically skin-tight. Those jeans were quickly returned.

But overall my experiences with UO haven't been too bad as I've usually had the sense to avoid their more douchebaggy items.

Let's show off how vain and conceited we are!

You could shop solely at Urban Outfitters and do fine for yourself. Most of the people here have moved on to higher quality goods. Why the hate? (unless you feel that they're worse about ripping off other artists, like savage suggested)

Thread Starter
I used to shop there all the time, so this thread was mainly to poke fun at myself and give others a chance to do likewise. They do have some very unfortunate corporate practices but I avoid it just as much nowadays to avoid cheap, overpriced trendy stuff.

When the tshirts go on sale for something like 2x$25 I'll buy a couple. I bought a jacket there once but never wear it so I don't know much about the durability. Generally, anything I can find there I can find somewhere else cheaper.

ive never bought anything there... but i was checkin out some western shirts, and their standard v neck sweaters any opinions on the vnecks seemed well priced and slim cut in three cool basic colors...

I have bought..

-A jacket in a size medium, and I am usually an XS... or smaller. Surprisingly it fits well in the shoulders and sleeves, but billows out like crazy. The only thing I regret was not buying the small online, for less.

-A silly shirt with pink guns on it. I thought it was cool at the time.

-A scarf with guns all over it. I thought it was cool, and I'd figure the only way I could get away with wearing a scarf was if it was dripping in manliness. Unfortunately, it's not comfortable at all.

-Socks. Very thin, some already have holes in them. I regret these.

However every time I go into the store or look online I get the urge to spend again =(

Things I've bought atleast over a year ago includes:

3 bdg deep v tees, I gave them away free of charge to someone else
2 ben sherman polos and 1 red tee is the only items that I still wear from time to time and these were purchased over 2 years ago. The quality on these items have held up fine as well.

Nothing on their site appeals to me anymore, thanks sf.

Got their catalog in the mail yesterday. All the female models in it have hipster bangs. That's some entertainment right there.

Their sale rack is as good or better than any other sale rack. But if you buy any of their items for full retail you are a sucker as the mark-up is pretty ridiculous. I got excited when i saw UO was going to be carrying Alt A, then I saw how much they want for their tees and say forget it. I got 4 Alt A tees for less than 10$ from a skate shop in OKC a year or two ago. They are only slightly better than a FTL tee, being made in USA shouldn't make a basic tee cost 23$.

Because most of their stuff is marked up to a ridiculous extent.

What he said. It's entirely possible to find some decent stuff there, but I'm not going to pay $100 for some shitty BDG sweater that won't survive it's first wash.
