I was randomly watching/listening to music videos on YouTube and then just followed through the similar ones on the side and got back to there. I listened to Slide Away 3x.

I really liked the single off the last record "Layla". Don't know about the rest of the record, but yes they have done some really cool things. Great voice on Liam. There is a great interview on youtube from both of them of the ten things they love/hate. Really funny stuff.

If you guy's like Oasis you should give Pulp a listen. While they had none of the exposure of Blur or Oasis, they were making incredible Brit-pop at the same time. Pulp lyrics accomplish the rare feat of being poignant without being saccharine.

The song "E's and Wizz" really perfectly captures growing up as an artsy angsty kid better then anything by Blur or Oasis, IMO.

+1 on Pulp, although I am not so sure being into Oasis will translate into being into Pulp, since they sound is much different, almost 80s like. Common People is one of the coolest, and most under-played songs ever. Not a huge fan of his recent solo record though, Fat Children notwithstanding.

Favorite Oasis song ever is still D'You Know What I Mean..

Theyre first 3 albums were stellar, after that it all went pants. Live Forever acoustic. I forget they were once young and good lookin: Not released in America but got no 1 in the UK 1994, Whatever. You can see they were just a bunch of builders from Manchester still. Filmed at a live gig: Cigarettes and Alcohol, 1994 one of my favourite videos of all time, filmed with a low budget at another gig in Camden (before they were famous). Goes to show you dont need all those bigshots. The long haired girl with the gap in her teeth, Georgina Cooper became one of UK's top models after this:
