This documentary, about Philippe Petit, the man who walked a tight rope between the tops of the twin towers for 45 minutes, is brilliant and successful beyond my ability to describe it. Everyone should see this film. Go!

I saw it a few weeks ago and agree. A wonderful film.

I should have started this thread last week when I saw this film. It's really a remarkable experience. A deeply emotional, moving film for reasons that I still don't fully understand. I got chills down my arm and legs when I recalled the film in a conversation a week after I saw it. I fear that I might raise unreasonable expectations saying more, so I'll stop for now. The film has flaws and moves slowly at times, but still I can't recommend it highly enough.

I'm tempted to offer my theories to explain your reaction, which was also mine, Baron, but I don't want to say too much.

i wanted to see this but when i checked last week it was only showing in pasadena and some other place out in the boonies. strange, because it has a glowing review in the times.

The images of Petit walking across the Sydney Harbor Bridge were breathtaking. That bridge holds sentimental images to my fiance and I we were wondering if you know of any prints or ways to order large scale pictures of those images.

sorry to re-revive the thread revive (and I have no idea if prints of petit on the Sydney Bridge exist), but I also saw the film quite recently - they were doing a re-run at the local arthouse cinema... breathtaking indeed. The pure ballsy-ness of it all!

Hard to describe why it works for an entertainment-only crowd such as at my house. Nevertheless, my wife hates actors studio / AMC / iFC / and its ilk. She enjoyed along with me. Pettite is quite a character. This retrospective is top notch.
