I reckon I'm gonna pull the trigger anyway, no point going around overweight AND in bad jeans for the next few months

I didn't ignore the advice, It was actually very helpful to me and I appreciated it. The advice was that it would take a very long time to see a signifiant drop in waist size, alot longer than I had first supposed. I'm not going to wait that long/ go to any such drastic measures just for the sake of dropping a size or two. I'm roughly a 33 as it is, so it's not like I even need to lose much.

I was probably naive to think a size could be dropped so fast, but then again don't Kellog's claim you can do it in 2 weeks with their cereal?

I'm about 5 foot 9. Not sure of exact weight, I would say 160 lbs or so....

I'm 5' 9" 160 or so pounds. I wear a 42 jacket and my waist is 31 inches. Are you sure it's a weight problem and not a matter of toning up?

Increase your exercise, cut back a little on what you eat and when and in a month it should all be good.
