Fancy socks and streetwear

I'm thinking about trying out some more fancy socks with streetwear and would love some inspiration! What kind of socks do you wear? Any interesting patterns or colours? (I've already checked out the sock Appreciation thread over at men's clothing, but it doesn't really show streetwear and socks. )

I'm also looking for a web store with a large selection of nice socks, at a reasonable price and with international shipping.

(I know there was a thread about this a long time ago, but there were no pictures and no suggestions on where to buy them.)

I like gap socks, they are cheap, nice and relatively high quality.

Old navy socks go on sale often for dirt cheap (like $2 a pair) and they've held up longer than my Urban Outfitter ones

This was the thread I erroneously referred to as "sock Appreciation". Lot's of nice socks, but most of the pictures aren't "street" oriented. I'm thinking more about how fancy socks work with sneakers or desert boots and jeans.

I hit up Uniqlo for good quality solids in a lot of colors.

Not sure if they ship to Norway.

Honestly, for Norway your best bet is probably to watch the FS: MC board and get some of the more conservative Nagranis with blues in them. That board moves a lot of Nagranis. Also, hit up H&M for your black standard sock needs.

^ agreed. I bought some Nagrani's from chorse123 a while ago and they are beautiful socks. Keep in mind though that they are pretty much OTC (over-the-calf) in length - which you may or may not like. It takes a little getting used to, but in the end is nice because they don't really fall down! Esp. if you like wearing your pants with little or no break, then this works well because the sock is quite visible. I don't tend to wear Nagrani's with jeans too much, more-so with slim chino or linen pants a la incotex, etc.

The really strange thing is that I can buy almost anything online. But it seems easier buying stuff directly from factories in China, than to buy multicoloured striped socks online
