Sheets & Bedding Advice

Thread Starter
Hello,

I'm moving into my own place within a month, and I am looking for a quality set of sheets and a duvet. I've heard that Egyptian Cotton is the best, and high thread count is generally better, but other factors must be taken into account such as yarn length and quality of woven material. My question to you is, what brands are known for their quality? I don't quite have the budget to purchase frette or anything like that so what might be some good brands that I would only end up spending a couple hundred dollars on in total when all is said and done? More specifically, out of the mainstream stores (Pennys, Sears, Bed and Bath, Linens N Things, etc..) What is the best brand of egyptian cotton bedding can I get there?

Thanks

sometimes you can find some nice stuff in places like tx maxx or marshalls. i have had great luck with really decent ralph lauren bedding from tj maxx.

i bought a down feather comforter from bed bath and beyond when i went off to college, it was about 100 bucks and one of the cheapest ones they had. and it was not worth it at all. so try to make sure you get some good hands on time with the items you're looking at. all the counts and cotton types don't mean much if they don't feel proper.

I bought these sheets and have to recommend them. Have had them for 2 years as the only sheets I use and they're holding up really well. They were decently comfortable once I got them, but felt a little itchy even after a first wash. That feeling disappeared quickly. They're also pretty warm and dense, but still super soft. Maybe not the best summer sheets for Florida without AC, but I make due in the northeast with no AC where its 80+ most nights.

My only complaint is that the elastic around the bottom wore out pretty quickly, but they were a pretty tight fit on my queen bed. They still stay on no problem, but felt like I should mention it.

I just feel too happy to share this helpful information to all of you; at present I am using Egyptian Cotton Sheets which is the best comparison to others. The Egyptian Cotton Sheets is too silky fiber and Egyptian cotton bed sheets are luxurious! I strongly suggested you to take an Egyptian Cotton Sheets from ceptionalsheets.com. ---------------------------- Egyptian Cotton Sheets
