Bourbon. - Page 175

Just thought I would echo bdeuce's statement that the Brigante Four Roses barrel is very enjoyable. Definitely glad I participated.

Agreed on the 4 roses!  Wish I had bought a few more now.

Two of my three. My liquor store said they could get me "as many as I want", and this is one of the best bourbons I've ever had, so I'm stocking up

What Russell's Reserve variety is that? The 1998?

Yeah they're the 1998.

How much is a bottle? I think I saw it my bar going for $200 a dram.

Retail VA $249. Wish I could find some at a bar around me.

Thanks to @newyorkislander and Courtney for getting these bottles out for us!!

It was only $95/bottle here but I missed it frown.gif

Really like the normal Russell's Reserve too, so more's the pity.

There's no way it was $95 a bottle. OH retail, which is state controlled, was $249.99 tax inclusive. Wholesale could not have been under $200.

Maybe they messed up the price and that's why it sold out so fast. Don't know, but never seen an error in their online list price. This is the county monopoly price.

Holy smokes; you're right, they dun goofed. But from what I hear, they move fast anyways. A lot of good reviews and a sort of "finally a rare release I got here in time to get" makes it a release that people pick up. My liquor store had 3 left the day I bought my two (got the other on a trip to visit @bdeuce22 from his local store) and I can't imagine they lasted more than 24 more hours

I didn't know you went to visit bdeuce - which one of you was the big spoon?

Picked up two bottles of W.L Weller antique 107 today. I am a big fan of the 12 year old year old so I am curious how this will compare.

Heading up to Julio's today to grab some of their store picks. Love Julio's...the guys there are fantastic. Also agree on the RR1998, great pour.
