Thanks for the reply. I definitely understand that if it taste's good it probably is good, well in terms of alcohol anyway. I normally drink irish and scotch whiskey. Where should I head after wild turkey?

I think so. I have tried almost every bourbon out there (in fact, I'd be surprised if there's one I haven't had yet), and of the 25 or so bourbons I keep on hand at home, WTRB is one of them. I think it's a terrific value.

So has anyone tried the Knob Creek Single Barrel yet? I saw it the other day, and I must say, I have always been very impressed with the standard Knob Creek, it's my go to bourbon when I am traveling and want a shot of whiskey at the bar.

What's the consensus here on Hudson?
I love what i've had but it's so damn expensive at bars where a neat pour will cost you $16 and up depending on which one it is.

Just bought some last week. Love the extra strength, but its a little too sweet for me.

I've liked everything I've tried from them. I wouldn't buy the stuff at bars though, buy the bottles online.

What did you think of the Yamazaki? Head and shoulders above the 18 year old version.

I really like the yamazaki a lot. I'm way to noobish to know what I'm tasting but it's full of win. Haven't tried the 18 but I'll take your word on that.

For the price of the 18, I'd buy a bottle of the 12 and use what's left over to buy a decent bottle of bourbon, you'll be much farther ahead.
