It's a great drink for sure. Maybe try 2:1:1 rye, vermouth, Campari and a different vermouth--Cocchi Torino, for example.

Was taking stock of the current lineup so thought I'd share. Not NYI proportions but it does the job.....

I love bourbon and beer, so naturally, one of my favorite combos in the world and current obsession is bourbon barrel beer. I highly recommend trying Dark Intrigue by Victory. Smells sweeter and definitely easier on the palate. Dark like coffee and leaves a bitter aftertaste (that almost hints at that chocolaty flavor). The bourbon flavor is definitely evident, and if you’re a bourbon fan, this beer is for you.

I have not, but I will soon....I'm down on a bunch of my opens, so once I polish those off, I'll hit the Tippins. I was able to try samples of the first two and they're very good, esp the obso.

The BTAC always happens like this...first release comes out prices spike...once it starts appearing everywhere, they'll settle back down again. How bout that shit with the Smooth Ambler "Green Ink"? I hope none of you guys dropped $250 on that $40 bottle of bourbon.

$250 for that shit? WTF. Why!!

BTW, the Tippins OBSO barrel is very close to the JSB OBSO people seemed to be in a huffle and puffle about.

Tippins: 63.6% US 59-6N 10 Year 5 Months
JSB: 63.8% US 59-6G 9 Year 7 Months.
