You know, the Ritt 21 was right there with it (23 and 25 way to much wood) but that BMH is incredible. I plan on trying to get a PVW 23 to move for it this fall...but I'm a little nervous that this first non-SW pappy will command much less.

That's quite a bunker!

Have you tried the BMH 18 year rye? I enjoyed that more than the 23 year, which was too oaked for my taste.

Speaking of ryes, what did it take to swing a trade for the VWFR 13 year rye?

That was my first age stated BMH that I tasted. The 18 is even better huh? I didn't get too much oak from this, but now I'll be chasing some of this stuff. Pour up in Mt Kisco has an awesome selection, check it out if you're ever in the area. Got the VWFRR for a PVW 15 and a couple of samples.

Wow Rob. That is a serious collection.

Seems like your summer is spent searching for bourbon with the family. Great way to combine family time and a hobby!

Question for the canucks here - is there anyway to determine when the LCBO is receiving stock of the better bourbons, like a newsletter, etc. I frequent the Summerhill LCBO and happened to be there when they put up a sign that they were receiving a few bottles of Pappy 12, but otherwise it seems like I'm always too late.

If you go to vintages.com and sign up for their newsletter thry will sen out a list of what is coming in and when. The ocassionaly have online only exclusives as well.

Does that cover bourbons as well?
Yep, it's all spirits tht are special released through the lcbo.
