Wraps are weird. Those white flour and spinach wraps look so disgusting.

I used to eat spinach wraps on a regular basis when I was living on campus. With the right fillings and condiments they can actually be quite tasty.

Anyway the way I understand it wraps convey far more than just corn-based flatbread. Case in point: pita bread, rice paper wrap, or the Asian fusion lettuce wrap deal VR mentioned.

Vietnamese springrolls are tasty. Burritos are tasty, especially breakfast burritos. Most wraps suck. The typically have too many vegetables, (and sprouts ), and not nearly enough sauce, cheese, and or meat. And they are too often served cold, which only makes them seem more depressing. The worst are the Caesar salad wraps. The wrapping gets soggy. The lettuce is either wilting or overly crisp, the dressing is never the real stuff. And there are never enough croutons.

The only really good wrap I've ever had had lobster salad with bacon in it. And the lady making them shrugged when I asked why, and said that she put them in a wrap because some people prefered that to the bun it usually came on.
