Is there any functional difference that justifies the increase in price of a wrap?

I'm a one man focus group prognostigator. That's my call on "wraps" based on having lunch a few times at a local "wrap" lunch spot. NYC Wraps, or something similar.

For the record, I'll take a tortilla every time. Hand made right there in front of you. Can't beat that for taste. Which reminds me, wraps have far less taste and texture. Exactly what I think of when I think of sex with an enviro-liberal-yuppie woman

I thought wraps were dead. They came in and out here about twelve years ago. Anyway, they are disgusting.

technically speaking, a wrap could be anything. It could be rice paper, true tortilla, or other flour based product, whole wheat, whatever. I believe some falafel wraps don't use mexican tortillas, it's something else (drier, flakier).

A tortilla is typically understood to be a large flour wrapper for burritos. There are also small corn tortillas.

I suppose you could call something a "rice paper tortilla" but it's usually not done.

If by "stupid" you mean "true," then I agree with you.

I like a tortilla wrap around.

If that's anything like the Gazpacho Reach Around, I'll agree

I love those Vietnamese wrap. Lump crab meat with fresh crunchy veggie wrap in translucent rice crêpe with peanut dipping sauce.
