Lion Meat.

Really? I just saw that a Philly pub took lion meat OFF the menu. I expect some Styleforumites have had lion before; did it grant you lion powers?

How typically odd that people went up in arms about lions. What about he other items on the menu.

Anybody who's been to the South Philadelphia Tap Room since April knows the new kitchen's got game. Literally. The SPTR menu reads like roll call at the zoo: ostrich, boar, bear. All present and accounted for, in the form of kabobs, burgers and of course bacon
Ridiculous.

Because lions are badass and the coolest animal ever and should not be raised for human consumption.

SAVE THE LIONS!

The Indians--of India--used to believe that wearing amulets out of tiger claws would grant one tiger powers.

Presumably, eating lion would make one become a lion.

I would eat it.

On a recent road trip through the American west, I had Bison, Elk, Reindeer, Ostrich, wild boar, and rattlesnake. I've had bison and wild boar a number of times previously, but I can never turn up an opportunity to try it again.

Lion meat? uhhhhh. Aren't lions kind of few and far between? I'd feel guilty eating one because of that. Only way I'd eat one is if I were starving in the African plains or was 100% sure they died of natural causes.

I feel I am entitled to lion meat.

Maybe the menu is a typo and they really meant Loin meat.

Other than chickens, I try to stay away from eating other carnivores.

I would eat it: it's farm raised; it isn't bush meat.

Farm raised lions? What a sad thought.

Hemingway ate it and said it tasted like veal.

Its not the meat that gives you the powers, its the HEART. You gotta eat the heart! Preferably still beating.
