How long between relationships / sex? (Q. for single people)

How long do you normally go between relationships (and having sex)? I've gone pretty long (even up to 1 - 3 years) between relationships (short or long relationships) as I don't seem to meet that many people. Et toi?

I find that the best way to get over a relationship is to go have some sex...

I've gone a long time between relationships, but not between sex.

this is probably unhealthy, but I seem to bounce very quickly from long term relationship to long term relationship with minimal rebound time....although I do also tend to keep relationships past their use-by dates, so by the time I do get myself out, I have kind of already recovered from the pain. This is probably not ideal, but I am guilt of some occasional side projects to keep myself fresh. I lived with an Australian girl for over 3 yrs, it ended, and I got together with a colleague the following week. I was with her for 2.5 yrs (most of which was long distance). It died violently, and I met a Vietnamese girl like a month later. Was with her for 1.5 yrs. Ended very violently. Met current gf a month later (and those of you who remember the Plan A vs Plan B poll may recall that there were two girls I met at the same time). Been with her 16 months now.

largest dry spell so far has been 6 months, of which 3 to 4 where by choice (that psychotic !@#$ ruined all the fun I had in the opposite sex for a while). relationships arent my forte though, I seem to excell at finding f*ck buddies

At least 6 months between serious relationships. Jesus, fellas. Give yourselves some time to heal and be alone.

If you take a laptop with you you can cut down on missed time while in the bathroom.

With sex, there is no wait. As for relationships, I'm more of the serious relationship type if I do decide to commit myself so I am never one to immediately jump into that.

Yeah but seriously if a serious relationship ends it's important to give the emotional side of things a break for proper closure. The physical is another matter entirely.
