not trying to be difficult, but it's unusual for a suit jacket to come NWT/unaltered, and have functional buttonholes.. I'd expect the sleeves to still be basted
I have a few caruso-made suits and they all had basted sleeves
I am very interested as I love the way they fit, but if the buttonholes are already functional with 26" sleeves, I'd have to find a tailor to redo the sleeveheads, which I don't trust my alterations guy to do, and would add a significant amount of $$

the Caruso-made Dunhill suits from 2-3 seasons ago were $1600 and a deal compared to their competitors.. current RC I believe are just north of $2k; similar to RC-made Adriano and Sons

2k is a little high for RC. the suits we have this season from them are around $1600 and next sesason around $1795. we do have a 100% cashmere SC thats going to be 2k but thats it. The suits are honestly the best value out there. I think the most expensive fabric I saw from them in terms of suits was around somewhere around $2200 and it was for a super 150's i believe.

Yes, I thought it was unusual that the suit had working buttonholes as well - I can post a pic if you like. I measured the sleeves again this morning (without the influence of alcohol) and they are actually 26.5" along the top. I'm not sure if this would make a difference to you or not...

I don't doubt you about the working buttonholes; it must makes the price for me a lot higher, as I would need the sleeves at least an inch shorter. I also don't know of a responsible tailor in Baltimore to do that sort of work and a trip to Georgetown is well over an hour away
pity
