Going to Omaha, NE, then Anchorage, AK for business in the middle of September. I'm looking for recommendations in both towns, especially Omaha. Thanks in advance!

Not only do they live there, but there stuff to do there. Actually they have a fantastic aquatic center where the Olympic qualifiers were held and the College World Series was held in Omaha, too.

dude... i could swear you were from Albany, NY.... I'd bet there is more to do in Omaha than that town.

I don't want to highjack this thread, but I'd actually be interested in knowing what places to hit for dinner/drinks too in Omaha. I'll be driving through on my way to Los Angeles from the east coast. My itinerary is looking to be stops in Cleveland, Chicago, Omaha, Cheyenne, Salt Lake City, Vegas, LA.

Omaha

Crescent Moon on Dodge and the 40's near Dundee.

Dundee.

The Slowdown is a nice bar from what I hear.

Gorats has good steaks.

Upstream Brewing, and a lot of the places in the old market.

Zios has good pizza, but don't go to the one in the old market.

Zesto has good Ice Cream.

uhh that shoudl help some.

I forgot to mention Film Streams, which is a movie theater near 15th and Cuming. They show off-beat and indie films that don't typically see midwest releases. I think they are showing 'My Winnipeg' and another film too.

I am not super familiar with places downtown since I live further away, and have only been in town since January.
