there are a lot of samples on display, and esp WC with medalions, but if you have something specific in mind then take a picture - avoids all disappointments

You can also give them the medallion pattern to copy. I did it last time, better than their pattern.
Whole cut is all about the last, check the display to see you like the last or not.
Also go for beading instead of common folded edge, IMHO.

Hmmm.. how to said...

folded edge is easy, the edge of the upper is "folded" over, as in this shoe:


the beading is something like "sandwich". The upper doesn't folded, between the upper and lining, it has a piece of "beading" placed under the upper, and about 0.5mm over the edge. As in this EG
but not like this Zee's:
