Few SFers and I have posts about their shoes, even a cut up shoe, so you can check it out.

I just placed an order for a few bespoke G&G's, looking at their shoes close up made me see how poor my Kow Hoo ones are. Kow Hoo are ok but just not in the same league as the European bespoke

Sorry, I do mean Koo Hoo.

I just took a look at their website and their prices seem quite high. I'll check them out when I get the chance to past by Central.

If my Zee's turn out to be okay, I'll most probably stick with them.

I agreed with you. Kow Hoo is not in the same league as the european shoemakers.
However, their price is also not in the same league too.

Zee's is very ok at that price.

SF is just a wealth of information. Zee's is a tempting to test the waters on custom shoes (guess this would be more MTM rather than full bespore).

What is the time commitment for getting a pair done? I saw it is a one fitting process. After the fitting are you committed or are adjustments possible as with clothing?

4 days production time for repeat customers. First timers would need a little more than a week from measurement to finished product.

One fitting with a cloth mock up. No more adjustments can be made after the shoe goes into production.

Yeah I'm pretty curious on Zee's turn around/process. I might be around the HK around next summer.

Its good value for money for bespoke shoes and its quite comfortable after you wear it for a whlie and the stiff leather of the quality french calfskin Zee uses gets some creases from the way you walk.

If you look at it in terms of price multiples.
1 pair of Kow Hoo buys you 4.5? pairs of Zees.
1 pair of G&G bespoke (2500 Euro?) buys you 18 pairs of Zees
1 pair of Corthay (1000 Euro) buys you 6.5 pairs of Zees

There is there is a convex function between price and quality in the bespoke shoe business.
For the marginal increase in quality/comfort/design/construction, the price needs to increase significantly.

I'm very happy with the ROI!

very beautiful. It really stands out with light colored pants with would be my choice also!! i would also like to try a half brogue captoe - but with a chiselled toe sometime..maybe when i go back to HK year end.

Does anybody know sort of construction Zee uses?

It looks to be blake-rapid stitched, however, its hard to tell because the insole would cover the sititching in the interior.

Hong Kong style! i have shown a pair to Tony G before and he said not GY and not Blake a sorta cross over of the 2!

Is it like Aubercy? welted front and blake heel?

The issue with HK bespoke, be it shoes, suits etc, is they use sub quality materials (shoes especially).

^ I guess that begs the question: are there sources to purchase quality leathers from England that can be used by makers like Zees? Essentially, CMT for shoes.
