Neat stuff, guys. I'm wondering this myself as I settle in to SF.

Stumbled across an estate sale w/ some interesting rugs. I have no clue in this field. Plan to get some books about it from the library. Any recommendations?

I own this book and I have found it to be very helpful. I believe it is considered one of the standard, if not the standard, authorities on the subject. The photos are lush and the descriptions of all the different regions, patterns, etc. are very helpful. I think it's worth buying, as it's a wonderful coffee table book too.
