OK, updated predictions:

AFC:

1. Pittsburgh 14-2 (lose Buf)
2. New England 14-2 (beat SF)
3. Indianapolis 13-3 (beat Den)
4. San Diego 12-4 (beat KC)
5. New York 10-6 (beat StL)
6. Buffalo (beat Pit)

Wild Card Round:

Colts over Buffalo
Chargers over NYJ

Divisional Round:

Pats over Colts
SD over Pittsburgh (I don't think Big Ben is healthy and this could be trouble, they haven't played a good team in awhile except for Week 17 against Buffalo, this will give us a real handle on how good this team is)

Championship game:
Pats over Chargers (best game of the playoffs/SB)

NFC:

1. Eagles
2. Falcons
3. GB
4. Seattle
5. Vikings
6. Carolina

Wild Card Round:

GB over Carolina (this may be a really close game though)
Vikings over Seahawks (as long as Randy Moss isn't throwing the ball)

Divisional Round:

Eagles over Vikings (I may change my pick here, let's see how good Philly is in their last two weeks)
Packers over Falcons (Revenge for 2001)

I was surprised by that, the Foreskins really seemed to be coming along. Losing Portis really hurt.

It is a shame. I am hoping he can come back next week and run for a lot. I would love for him to be able to get 1500 yards this season.

As for the SuperBowl, I don't really care, as long as it isn't the Eagles. I am a Redskins fan, so I hate the Cowboys first and the Eagles a close second.

And the corollary is true for me as an Iggles fan. Washington with some tweaking of the roster (still not sold on Ramsey, though) could be VERY good next year.

Their success may have hurt them a bit, as I don't think they'll be able to draft a franchise QB. Sean Taylor was certainly good but I think the Redskins would have been great if they had taken BR with the 5th overall pick (or traded down and gotten him)

In their defense though, they thought they had a viable QB with brunell (no reason to think he was going to be as bad as he was-sure he was getting older, but was still able to produce). No one knew that Rothlisberger was going to turn out how he did. That's typical rolling of the dice in the draft. Eli was supposed to be the golden child like his brother, and he was awful.

I think it will be interesting to see what the Redskins do in the offseason. Despite Gibbs naming Ramsey as the starter next year, they may make a move if someone promising is available, IMO.

Call me crazy, but I really do think Eli's going to be a great qb when it's all said and done.

At least not on the Giants, unless they seriously upgrade their O-Line and Receivers.

O-line did fine early in the year for Warner, and Toomer/Hilliard is good 1-2 punch plus the deep threat of Tim Carter makes a pretty nice set of weapons for Manning next year (Aikman, Peyton, Elway, and numerous other HOF qb's struggled mightily in their rookie campaigns).

BR is a good QB, but largely a product of his circumstances. Â Put him on the Skins, and I doubt that he does much better than Ramsey.

Agreed. Â It's pretty difficult to put up big numbers when you're running for your life. Â Manning did look pretty good against the Steelers.

I think Eli Manning will be a decent quarterback once everything is said and done, it's difficult to look good as a rookie/2nd year starter in the NFL. That said, I think BR would still do better than either Ramsey or Brunell, this year. He would be in a nearly perfect situation in Washington, just as good a defence as pittsburgh, a great running back in portis, and a decent set of wide receivers and a good tight end, what else do you need to be successful? Brunell sucked in Jacksonville and he sucked in Washington, end of story. Ramsey? He was throwing one hoppers to people, that might work in cricket, but not in the NFL.

One QB that will be good at some point is Boller, but he needs to get receivers, the Ravens receivers are just brutal.

I think Carolina could beat GB, I've flipflopped with this choice for awhile, GB just dominated Carolina, when they were completely healthy (except for Steve Smith, who broke his leg in the game) on MNF in the first game of the season, and GB will be fully healthy and has locked up the 3rd seed no matter what. I think they will be well rested as Carolina has a battle with the Saints (as much as any game with the Saints can be a battle) for the last wild card slot, I think GB wins but it will be a close game IMO. I wouldn't be surprised to see Carolina win though.

As a Skins fan, I hesitate the second-guess the Greatest Football Coach Who Ever Lived, but trading for Brunnell and signing him to a fat contract was definitely ill-advised, to say the least.  If Ramsey had started the entire year and had gotten the time to learn the offense, I think it is quite possible he would be playing much better than he is now.

The lack of a downfield passing game is killing the Redskins.  Teams can stack nine defenders at the line to stop Portis knowing that the receivers can't hurt them.  Jim Brown in his prime couldn't run through that.  Pittsburgh's wide receivers are MUCH better than Washington's; Ward is a bit better than Coles and it is no contest between Burress/Randle-El and Gardner/Jacobs.

Burress was out for half the season and Randle El is really inconsistent. If Gardner were well coached, IMO, he would be quite good. He certainly has the talent... Ward may be better than Coles, but look how bad he was when Burress was out? Pittsburgh's offense isn't as dynamic as Washington's IMO as Portis is a much better RB than either of the Pittsburgh backs. If they had a solid QB, they would have a good offense.

Y'know Drizz, I may have given you a hard time about the homeless thing, but anyone who picks the Pack to get to the Grandest Circus of All can't be all bad. Real optimistic, maybe...but not all bad.
