If you can limit to some specific questions, then maybe we can help you out.

This is pretty much a summation of how it happened for me and like all brilliant apprentices...isshi took it to another level.

Thanks, Odradek.

Those are even harder to miss than most spectators, esp the navy suede and white calf. Gotta love the attention. They will get noticed.

Yes they do, google: "Edward Green Malvern spectators" for the oxford version. I doubt they make the Malvern on the same last (888 squared toe), the standard lasts for the Malvern are rounded toe lasts (the 82 and 202).

...is it just me or does that EG pair have a narrower waist than usual? Has the factory tweaked their soles a bit?

I love spectators, but wish there were more opportunities to wear them without becoming "that guy."

Here's a pair of vintage J&M's, size 13B, that I acquired two summers ago, but still remain in their box.

My EG Spectators shoe collection....

Crosspost from the Austro-Hungarian thread. These are Handmacher MTO Budapesters from Austria. I find the heel stack esp. pleasing to the eye.

My EG Malverns US10.5E on the 202 last.

I had a version of these once made for that famous USA Britches company. But these are 100X better.

These are soon to arrive and have some nice features. Weyenberg tan ventilated spectators 10.5D

They are probably late 40s with the mild spade sole but the vamp treatment is true 50s.

Then that Weyenberg 50s touch of the 7 eyelets more redolent of the 30s.

They have that famous tan colour that was a feature of Weyenbergs and I have another pair in a similar colour.

Weyenberg still exists as WEYCO and is run or was run by the sons off Mr Florsheim when they left the family company.
