These technichally may not be spectators because they don't have any white in them, but working on trying to get a pair anyway.

From Skoaktiebolagets' website.

Doubt that they really count as spectators, but they do have at least two different colors.

Pictures are from the website, and they are MTO so it appears it will be another 12 to 15 weeks.

Some people limit Spectators to black & white OR brown & white brogues. Personally, I do NOT subscribe to this narrow interpretation! Spectator Shoes have been around for well over 100 years, and so many interpretations have sprung up based on public appeal and the creativity of the Shoemaker.

For me, a Spectator Shoe is simply one that incorporates 2 (or more) different colors/ textures into a single shoe. It's all about the contrast in colors. Different grains and types of leathers can and have been used to stunning effect. These 2 pairs above are excellent examples. Great Shoes, gentlemen!

correct! In the 1940's, many top US shoemakers were in competition to see who could make the most realistic calfskin exotic reproductions. Some of the work is wuite amazing. These are a great job... the only flaw is the lack of a hole or slightly loose "cap" where the quill would have been.

By the way, DWFII, I almost forgot to thank you for answering my question about the heel curve in ankle boots. MANY THANKS! It is great to have someone with so much knowledge who is also readily willing to share it with us all.
