Did I mention I am also throwing in several pairs of vintage cufflinks, a couple T&A silk pocket squares, and some woven silk English Repp ties?

STYLESTUDENT, both you and cuffthis are very generous, indeed. Although the clothes are all my size, I am not one who "really needs" any of them. I'll sit back and enjoy the posts, dogrel and beautiful prose, alike.

Since cuffthis has topped his own offer, I'll throw in a gray Dunhill wool herringbone sportcoat (if I can still find it) in my package going out this weekend.

I should get some of cuffthis's castoffs because the best xmas gift my family could muster was an Old navy fleece hat that - shudder - matched one given to everyone else.
Oh my, that is very, very sad. Demeis is also in a dire situation, living in Rochester and all. Of course, I'm a little concerned he'll get beaten up by the boys if he dresses in elegant suits.

Just a reminder, the giveaway ends soon. I will announce the winner this Sunday night, after I return from my wife and my visit to Jekyll Island, GA.

Spread the wealth. Make more than one person happy (and this way others wont be sad). Just my .02 Happy 2005 to all. JJF

Absolutely. And if you agree with that idea, make those 2 or 3 you will choose send you directly a list of the clothes, rated in order of preference, and see how you can best accommodate them?

I agree with the "split it up" idea, if only because I would really love some of those Turnbull squares. I'm just drooling at the thought of getting my hands on some T&A... oh, and the pocket squares too.

Its actually worse.  I live in Geneva (Hobart and William Smith colleges and home to a trival pursuit question about a drainage tile museum).  So I have to drive the 45 minutes just to get to Rochester. As for splitting it up i think thats a good idea as well.  If i won i was planning on giving away the RLPL and Fluser jackets +the dinner jacket because I'm not sure how much i would wear them and why not spred the wealth.

I'm getting married in July, and the dinner suit would be terrific. Plus, 1) of my over 2000 posts, I have slagged classic clothing afficionados in fewer than half; 2) everyone would have the satisfaction of knowing that my future wife can get me to dress properly, at least for our reception (in the evening); and 3) I promise not to insult ernest for, say, 100 posts. Or unless he *really* provokes me. Happy New Year ALL.

I'm one of the few (at least I think there is only a few) 20 year old who appreciate mens style as much as I do (i'm addicted I mean i'm posting here on Chrstimas.), but being in college I can't afford nice clothing like those you are giving away and am consistenly made fun of (in a joking way) because I don't shop at A&F and the like but instead spend what little income on fine mens clothing. Hopefully with these suits can help me break into the professional world by: A) giving me more confidence because I feel good about the way I look. B) Those around me will be captivated by my fine attire and could not help but hire me and give me the salary to afford the fine clothing that you have so graciously offered up :cough:suck up:cough:. and finally C) You have to look good to feel good to play good. The last bit why I should deserve these suits/jackets, is because I am many years away from affording these clothing and this is my one shot. Also the Alan Flusser Jackets would look real nice next to my Alan Flusser boo
And the winner is Demeis. You sound a lot like me when I was a 20 year old in college. I preferred Brooks Brothers button downs and repp stripe ties to whatever the current fashion trend was (Guess jeans and Members Only jackets?). Enjoy the clothes and wear them well. And post a picture of you wearing them in the future and let us know what you think of them. Please send me a private message with your name and mailing address and I will box them up and ship them to you. Happy New Year to you and yours.
