Do you display any unusual collection in your study?

I was watching one of the design programs on HGTV when a study room with an usual collection of Napoleonic war relics (helmets, uniforms, swords, etc.) was shown. I have to say that everything goes very well with the wooden interiors, and boy, the whole room looks like a throwback to early 19th century France. I think I'm going to emulate this theme when I get a chance to redo my place. I'm curious if anyone has an usual collection of things that they use to decorate their work office/study room.

Kind of like below but with much more Napoleonic militaria stuff.

I have a collection of rare, antique ammunition, rare books (especially Sherlock Holmes items), gemstones, and other things that appeal to me. Not a lot of each (except the ammo, perhaps), just a little of the things I enjoy....

We have some cool black & white photographs.

I have this print and this one (print, not postcard) and this one and another one, like the last, where the belle is holding herself, are-these-fake style. FWIW ... some of those sites might be NSFW

Going up and looking reminds me that I should remark upon the sword and the custom bowie hanging on the wall, as well as some framed menus from restaurants I enjoy as well as some of my photographs. The things we keep near us are so very....well, important, really. ~Huntsman

IIRC, the room is somewhere in an Imperial French palace. You must be royalty.

It looks more like a country home than a palace to me... the lamp is an antique but I doubt it's particularly valuable. To my uneducated eye, it seems to be of decent quality but certainly nothing extravagant.
