I tried to use it this morning for a simple search. It was so slow I gave up.

In my experience it has been garbage. However, the efficacy of any search engine's cataloguing and sorting algorithms are heavily dependent on the context in which you expect your search results to be found. It might work better for certain things, but I can't imagine a better all-around system than Google's.

that is ok for medical terms.

you see, that is why you spend 1 hour in the doctor office waiting for the doctor to appear.

he is looking up your symptoms and terms on Cuil before he goes to meet you to at least sound base knowledgeable.

Yep. That's why I use the interwebz for self-diagnosis. The doctor has gone the way of the troika.

I can't say I'm impressed by it; I'm not too keen on the column organization.

Do you have any idea how much there is to bloody know? There is no freaking way that anyone, bar the relative gifted few, can possibly know a whole lot about everything. Common things are common (duh) but given that anything can walk through a FP's door, you're expecting a bit much. There's a reason there are specialties and sub-specialties within them. And then people want nurse practitioners to take over a large part of the doctor's role. Stick to the internet for diagnoses... On that note, I love Google for medical stuff.
