Sorry if I've missed this somewhere in this thread, but I've got my heart set on some Quoddy penny loafers; I'm thinking of the brown leather with the red boat sole. The only pictures I can find are on the Quoddy web site; does anyone here have a pair?

Just figured I'd post a heads up for those that like the Quoddy look but not the Quoddy price...Urban Outfitters has a rather convincing version of the Quoddy Boat Shoe currently for sale at South Willard (see below for comparison). Granted you're not getting the same quality but for $50 I think its a good alternative. I bought them in navy and am very happy with them.

I'm really digging the quoddy x south willard moc bluchers, but not really pleased about the price especially since now they are significantly more costly than last year....are there any good alternatives for those?

My canoe mocs just arrived from O'Connells, and I could not be happier. $135 plus $5 to ship minus $50 for the 50 year promo = $90.

Would you say the "cinnamon" color, as it is on the O'Connell's website, is relatively accurate?

It looks a little darker in person, which is probably the lighting in the photo. Also, it is a pebble grain, which I did not realize, but am quite happy about.

Exchanged my pair with O'Connell's and am very happy with the new pair I received. I communicated with Ethan via email and he was very helpful throughout and always responded quickly; he even checked out the new pair before shipping them.

Does anyone know when the promo code expires?

I'd expect so at some point, but not sure when. Initially when I asked about an exchange they did not have my size in stock, but told me a shipment was coming in, so it seems that they are being restocked.

epsilon - I think I heard May 25.

Sweet, ordered my first Quoddys. I wonder if the code can be used on subsequent orders.

Got mine from the factory - paid full load, but I asked for and got an off-white sole, which made me happy. Maybe not $90 happy, but still, they're great shoes.
