I'm in the same boat. I wear a 9 in desert boots so that's what I went with on the boat shoes I just ordered. Hopefully I won't regret not getting a 9.5...

I bought mine TTS (usually a 12, bought a 12), and I think maybe I could've sized down half a size.

Yeah, I've read conflicting things regarding sizing although most people say TTS or size down 0.5.

I figure I'll be wearing them without socks most of the time so I didn't want to get them too big.

fwiw, they only part on mine that they're a little 'big' is in the length, and we're talking maybe half an inch, at most.

Oh, and O'Connell's is definitely the way to go if you don't want to wait 3-4 months. I ordered mine around 1pm ET today and they said they'll ship out today.

South Wilard has the blue ones, which IMO look better than the brown for boat shoes. I have brown bluchers and, fingers crossed, will be picking up the boat shoes in the next few weeks.

I liked the blue but preferred the brown w/ camp sole. The lower price and $5 shipping also made the decision a little easier for me.
is the brown leather/dye in the boat shoes identical to that of the blucher?

Are the blue ones exclusive to SW?
Pretty sure, sw gets custom stuff they do for them.

oh that's fucked up, i can't believe i've been planning out my purchases for like, two months, and i'm going to stoop and buy those tonight.

Any places in europe that sells Quoddy? Would get those bluchers for the summer, but I'm a bit hesitant to order straight from them, as it'd mean shitloads of VAT and shipping charges.

Oi Polloi had a nice price on them, but they're currently out of stock (and I don't think they had the black ones)
