I believe they have a Vibram wrap sole as on the boat moccs and a Vibram lug sole.

have you receive them yet? looking forward to your post :-D

I should have received them Friday...the snow storm caused UPS to stop running early. I am hopeful to have them tomorrow

At long last I received my order today! For an unknown reason UPS did not deliver them yesterday.

Pair #1 is a Malseet in Rowdy Dachsund leather with a brick red sole, unlined, antique brass eyelets and baseball stitching

Pair #2 is a Grizzly Boot with Ranger Tan waxed canvas shafts, Pampas Spruce Horween green leather, nickel eyelets and a white Vibram sole with natural stitching

The whole process with excellent. Elizabeth at Quoddy's customer service was extremely helpful and responsive. A real pleasure to work with. I look forward to seeing how these break-in.

i received literally the exact same pair of maliseets custom made from quoddy today. i'm guessing you told them to make them like the need supply ones? the leather on these things is beautiful. i'm definitely impressed!

the leather on the lower half of my pair is slightly darker than the upper which almost gives them a two-tone effect. they look awesome.

both looks great rydanfan! i noticed you have the grizzly lined. How does it feel between unlined and lined to you? do you feel unlined more breathable? I like baseball stitched more cuz when i went some old photos, some normal stitching seems to separated, so i think baseball is more secure.

i initially want to do a horween green with navy boat moc but then changed my mind as i thought there is no horween green. It definitely look so good on your grizzly! Very nice combination with the light tan canvas and green. It will certainly look better with age.

i also have elizabeth as my rep and i send her 3 or 4emails but she only replied to two or 3. Until i placed an order, she replied to my last email. I ask her about the difference between C and D width still i have not got an answer, but i did go with D at the end. BTW, what size did u order compare to your other shoes? maybe compare it with nike running, vans, redwing, whites...anything you can compare and let me have an idea? I live in hong kong and no place to try it on so i just go with my normal size. Congrats on getting those two :-D ( although is little bit late due to snowstorm)

Thanks so much for the nice words! I will try and answer your questions as best I can.

The unlined initially feels more breathable but also a bit stiffer and roomier. The deerskin lining of the boot feels like butter to the touch but as a result is a bit more narrow. It is not too narrow or anything just different from the unlined Malseet. With some break-in it will be great.

Typically the only green that is stocked from Horween is the Olive Chromexcel. I have a sample of it and you have to really strain to see the green as it appears more brown. In my conversation with Elizabeth she had told me about this Pampas Spruce color they were bringing in for evaluation. I immediately was excited and waited for a sample of it to come in. I am very pleased I waited and went with that color. I completely agree about them looking better with age; especially the tan shaft as it is too flat and soft right now and with some wear on it it will really develop.

Being in the states it is easy for me to pick up the phone if I get anxious and dont get a reply email fast enough :) She was always very helpful to me. I do not have a particulary wide foot and went with the standard D width. For comparison to other sizes...I wear a 9 in New Balance, an 8.5/9 in Nike, an 8 in Alden, measure an 8 TTS and went with the 8.5 from Quoddy. They fit perfectly! They are a touch roomy but I could not have gone smaller.

I hope this helps you and look forward to seeing your pair

thanks Rydenfan! just check my mailbox and noticed that they shipped out my order on Feb 13. I placed the order on the 1st. spoke to Elizabeth and let her know that i want my shoe to be unlined and received final email confirmation. Then today they were shipped! Awesome!. I went with size 8 so i think it will fit me fine too since i will wear them barefoot and you said 8.5 is tad roomy ( i also wear size 9 new balance, 9 nike, no Alden..).  And yes, i will definitely post some pictures once i received them. They did usps express international so i expect it Monday or Tuesday of next week. Dont know why i like deerskin lining on boot only but not on the shoes. It feels awkward that the appearance of the shoes is more for spring/summer time and adding deerskin lining inside makes it feel more for fall/winter...

That turn around makes me very excited, along with rydenfan's. I wonder if people are seeing quick-ish turnarounds on Quoddy in general, or if it has to do with which kind of shoe you get. I ordered my custom Dawsons with a canoe moc saddle on the 6th, so between those two turnarounds, maybe they'll ship next week. Seems to be a lot shorter than the 3-6 week estimate, though maybe that takes into account closer to summer if more people buy then.

Mine were custom made in just over 2 weeks. the storm delayed the shipment for a couple of days but all in all they still arrived in under 3 weeks.

I emailed them a few weeks ago about a pair of Sipayik's and they said they're currently turning everything around in 2-3 weeks. Seems like they're staffed well enough right now that they're not really getting backlogged.

I just placed an order for the cavalier whiskey bluchers with brick sole and under custom I indicated that I wanted the glove leather lining like the ones Unionmade were selling. Think there will be any hangups or delays with that request?

edit- They just told me I will receive it by March 15th and waived the upcharge on the glove lining. Great service.

Nice, just received my Boat-Moccs in Cavalier Whiskey, silver eyelets, natural Vibram lug sole, standard stitch.  Almost went for the red Virbram lug sole, but just couldn't pull the trigger on that combo.
