Quoddy Boat Shoes MEGATHREAK - Page 119

Thanks for the support - I guess I could always darken them up with a bit of Obenaufs if need be. The leather is unbelievably oily as-is though, just handling the shoes leaves fingerprints and surface smudges.

any pictures of charcoal or dark grey and red brick soles?

Has anybody open sourced how to make any of quoddys shoes? I would love to get a boot last made of my own foot then start buying materials and practicing. Anybody familiar with all the techniques and wouldn't mind sharing?

Anything more detailed? I wonder if they allow spectators at their factory.  I would love to make myself grizzly boots yearly till the day I die.

I'm about to place an $800 order through Quoddy's official site and wonder if there are any coupon or promo codes available?

Thanks!

Quick friday pic of my Quoddy Chukkas, Cordo CXL, cross stitch and white vibram soles. I love it when an overseas transaction (with sale and free ship code) works out size wise. JT

End sale a few months back.

Second time I've happened on some Quoddys for a great deal. Picked up some brand new brown shearling grizzly boots with a crepe sole at a consignment store for $80.

Any one know if the shearling lining can be removed? No sure how much of a fan I am of it.

Does Quoddy never post web promos to their own store?

I spent almost $900 yesterday on a pair of chromepak dawson mocs, cavalier red and white collared canoe mocs, and navy horween boat mocs with white vibram soles. I could've laid that kind of scratch on some damn fine cordovan dress shoes. I appreciate that their products are all US made handsewn craftsmanship, but these prices are stupid. Even a 10% discount when spending that amount would be much appreciated. Does Quoddy ever post coupons or promotions to their own web shop?

You bought three pairs of shoes and want them to be cheaper than a pair of dress shoes? No they don't do promos.

How do the crepe soles hold up? My only experience with that type of sole is on a pair of clarks and they're alright but suffer in the rain...
