Good evening fellas,

I recently bought Quoddy Grizzly boots (unlined). I bought them in a size 9.5 and was a little worried that maybe I sized incorrectly. I can put them on no problems, but the toe vamp leaves very little room and feels snug (toes are right up against the vamp). Is this how they normally feel and sizing up would not really make a difference? I normally wear the following sizes:

Sperry 10
Common Projects 9 US
LANVIN 9 US
Mark McNairy and Clarks: 9.5 (Length is a tad too long)

Also, when I wear them my toes reach as far as demarked on this pic.

you need a 1/4-1/2 inch between the end of your toe and the first row of stitching. they will stretch out quite a bit in width but will not give in length.

Is it safe to assume I would be the same size in a lined/unlined blucher?

you are not there yet ... you need to figure out the difference between the two first.

How long do the soles on the boat shoes last for? My sperries only last a few months before I wear away the heel and eventually wear away the stitching of the outsole...maybe these last longer?

You should look into getting some orthotics or inserts or something

damn bro

i have a pair of sperrys that are still in great condition after 2.5 years (w/ heavy, merciless wear). heel is still largely intact

^ there's only like .25 inches of rubber sole then it gets to the stitching...so you are saying after 2.5 years you haven't worn out any sole? All my shoes last a long time but not for these sperrys for some reason....
yeah, ive worn out a little sole on the sperrys, and the tip of the stitching is fraying a bit. but just very slightly then again, i only weigh 125 lbs, so there's that

Anyone looking for a pair like this but with camp sole. I may be unloading a pair. They are marked 8, but fit like wide 8.5 or 9 (larger then the 8s or 8.5s I have tried on). let me know.

after a month of waiting for a pair of custom bluchers, quoddy kindly sent me someone else's order today

Using the Quoddy sizing method, I'm even more confused as it doesn't match anything I've read. According to the Quoddy method: 12 In other brands - Nikes: 11 Sperry: 10.5 Vans: 10.5 WTF?
