There is obviously a reason why the offer shoes but lined and unlined.
I was trying to understand why.

It really is no wonder that everybody hates you on the board. You really are a douche.

LOL. did you just figure this out now? dont get upset because i ask you to use more words. when you ask a vague question you get a vague answer. there really is no SuBsTaNTiAl reason for lining. some people prefer it because they find it more comfortable. having a owned both i cant say one is more comfortable then the other. there is also a more "finish" look with the lined quoddys. DoEs that help you? see ... use more words and you will be just fine! or, next time you ask a stupid question send it to quoddy. thanks.

Just got myself a pair Jcrew x Quoddy suede(sand) chukka . I have not owned any shoes from Quoddy. Just wondering if the built quality is the same as that of those made by Quoddy for their own line. Would i be right to say that everything(material quality, construction etc) is the same only for the design for the collab with jcrew?
Yep, it's the same. I have the J Crew bluchers as well as boat shoes from South Willard and canoe mocs from O'Connell's....built quality is the same throughout.

^ Great.

Paid $180. I think that should be a reasonable price for a pair of Quoddy collab chukka.

I am assuming sizing is same too, throughout?

Anyone know who else has Bluchers in size 8 (besides SW, WP and JCrew)? Thanks...jT

having a pair of unlined bluchers and lined maliseets I'll say I find the unlined more comfortable when going sockless in hot weather.

I find the opposite, actually. Lined kicks ass.

Agreed. Unlined is better sockless, I like lined for wear with socks. Seems opposite of what you might expect, but the lining makes for a clammy feeling without socks.

Unlined, always.

Does any retailer sell the tan suede Maliseet with a red camp sole? Sorry if this is a simple question, hard to keep track of who is selling what...alternatively, seems like it could be a custom option. (Edit: If not Quoddy, does anyone else sell a tan suede blucher moc with red camp sole...) Thanks in advance, Peter

Thanks in advance,

Email quoddy...tell them your size and see what they have in stock (they usually have a few things)

Jcrew (sand suede/red brick) and South willard (light brown suede/brick)

Havent seen the maliseets in suede in stock anywhere lately.
