So does anybody know if the chukka boots run true to size or a half size big?
People on here are saying half size big but SW is saying true to size.
I may just order and return if necessary.

Honestly, I think you should ask South Willard.

I got the all black bluchers from SW about a year ago in my exact size and they were good but I could have used slightly more room (they feel fine but my toe is a little closer to the front of the shoe than I prefer). Later in the year I got the brown suede bluchers and SW told me that particular run was a little smaller, so I tried a size larger than my normal size, and they were fine (about a half inch of toe room). Also, I found the bluchers from SW were not as wide as some of the Quoddys I've tried from other sources -- for me they fit great.

Those suede chukkas are a new shoe for SW, and they're lined -- to me that says you need advice from someone who's tried THOSE shoes from THIS particular run. So go GET YOUR FOOT PROPERLY MEASURED, tell Ryan @ SW what your shoe size is, and he'll recommend the proper size so (hopefully) you don't need to do an exchange.

P.S. and tell us the results!

So, I'm weighing up the pros and cons of some Quoddys or some Arrow Mocs for summer. I really liked the look of the Albam x Quoddy release with the crepe sole (below), obviously these are unattainable, so I'm looking at my other low/crepe options....

Arrow Moc seem only to offer the one colour, and as I was looking for a lighter shade of shoe, perhaps wouldn't be my best bet.. On the other hand, Quoddy only offer the Grizzly and Dawson style mocs in a crepe soul, which I like, but can't seem to find a picture of either of these with a crepe soul... Can anyone help me out with a picture?

But you can always call or email them if you want to be 100% sure. Also -- and this is a very general statement for which there is probably an exception out there -- all of the stores I am aware of which carry Quoddy bluchers, boat shoes or trail mocs (South Willard, Winn Perry, O'Connell's etc.) carry the unlined versions. I've only seen lined Maliseet oxfords & chukkas (deck/boat shoe chukkas, etc.) carried in store. I'm not saying that a glove lined Quoddy blucher is a special order item only, but it seems like the stores that carry them seem to prefer ordering the unlined versions in bulk from Quoddy. Can I make one suggestion if you prefer lined leather shoes? This season SW is carrying a Quoddy chukka boot in two styles (brown suede & navy) which are both specifically referenced as "GLOVE LINED." The styling and color combos are just about perfect.
I finally got my Quoddy x SW Bluchers in black/black yesterday and they're perfect. I like these unlined, and I can see why SW decided to order them this way. About the sizing, I'm a true 10 and these 10's fit me perfectly. There is no way I could have sized down. I'm definitely going to pick up the brown suede/brick later in the year.

That's great. Wonderful shoes. And if you do pull the trigger on the suede/brick red bluchers later, you will not be disappointed. They are probably my favorite shoes ... and I've even been sneaking them into the rotation throughout the winter whenever the weather allows.

I ALSO have a Yuketen brown suede chukka boot -- otherwise the one that would be on my list is SW's suede chukka from Quoddy (the differences are that my Yuketens have a brown boat sole & two eyelets versus the three eyelet/red camp sole combo of the Quoddys -- see pictures below for a comparison). For my money that is the most interesting boot/shoe out there right now.

Good to hear that the blucher sizing at South Willard/Quoddy remains somewhat consistent -- which is to say that you should probably order your usual size. It does pay to check though, because I totally believe what I've heard from so many other folks regarding their need to size down with Quoddy.

Oi Polloi are going to be getting their shipment from Quoddy next week. Not sure what's going to be included, but keep 'em peeled!

I just can't believe they're both "selling out" (it's a mocassin company, it doesn't stand for anything) and doubling their prices. The prices are just stupid.
