If you're looking for a good sipping tequila, the only choice would be a fine anejo tequila - those aged in barrels for at least one year. Â As far as brands go, I'll suggest a few favorites: Patron Anejo - lots of agave flavor and a gentle yellow hue. Corazon Anejo - deep brown color and robust flavors from the barrels. El Tesoro Paradiso - actually a blend of anejo tequilas from the reserve batches at El Tesoro, this is a collector's bottle of ultra premium stuff. Â Complex, smooth and elegant. Â Since you're buying the bottle in Mexico, this might actually be the best bargain of the bunch.
