Vermouth/Lillet storage

Should I be storing my vermouth/lillet in the refrigerator? How long will it last? Currently my sweet vermouth is in my bar sitting in room temp. I'm going to go buy some dry vermouth/lillet blanc sometime soon and was wondering what I should do to store it?

Vermouths and the Lillets are barely fortified wines, basically. I keep mine in the fridge. It probably would be worthwhile to use one of those items that replaces the air with an inert gas if you won't be going through it relatively quickly. As I'm a huge, huge fan of both the Lillets, I can't say that's ever been a problem for me. I might add that Lillet Blanc is not a dry vermouth as it is sweet; some refer to it as white vermouth. I use a great deal of red Lillet as a subsitute for sweet vermouth in cocktails as I find the more elegant wine flavors appealing in contrast to the herbal muddle of vermouth -- try going 75/25 Lillet to vermouth in your next Manhattan. I love this stuff:
