Great looking shoes, are these custom made?

It might be the angle but these look huge on your feet. What are they?

They do, don't they? It's partly the long vamp and partly the angle - and they're too long. Saint Crispins run 1/2 to 1 size big, it looks like.

I purchased some argyle socks today. Please rate my purchases:

For example, can I wear the dark brown/orange argyle socks (third from left) with gray pants and dark brown shoes? I'm kind of inclined to wear w/e the F socks I want with my shoes/pants because it doesn't seem like people in this thread are following a single convention..

Looking good. The JCrew on the far right is pretty subtle - looks solid. I'm not a big fan of the vertical, small pattern, but that's just preference and if you like them then dozo. The others are quite nice - send me a few for a better evaluation. :)

Re. wearing which with what: that's a problem I've had and it doesn't seem to get better, although I've learned alot by observing some of the stalwarts here. I tend to impulsively buy socks that I like then can't find a way to wear them, but most of the regulars here take it easy on you.

So, that's a tough call - just try some and see how you like it. You may get feedback at work (which may or may not be desireable). But, what the hell - have fun.

I agree with jhcam, i just buy socks I like and then figure it out later. Argyles are great socks for matching with either pants or shoes; just match your shoe or pant with one of the 3 colors of the argyle . For example, the red, black, gray argyle would look good with any combination of black pants, black shoes, gray pants, gray shoes, etc. If you own any stripped or checkered pants, you may want to wear a sock thats brings out the color in the pattern.

I sadly cannot participate of my own free will since my fiance chooses many of my socks. Which means, the socks inevitably have angry robots (pictured), beer mugs or the like.
Far from me to tell an exec to man up, but really. I do like the look.

Sharp as always, Uncle - but, you're not showing your trou too often of late.

The holy trinity.... Navy, purple and shell in Color #8

hmmm, if you say so. A nice look, to be sure.

Cool as usual, N - what are they?
