There is nothing "same old" about blue shoes.

No worries, N. I'm not sure how much I like them myself. Needed some boots and saw these - Indys with NST stitching from Epaulet in Natural CXL. They fit well so that may be the decider.

C&J Shell Finsbury on their third wearing. Clients in the office tomorrow for a presentation so I'm running around the office kicking butt!

650

These have had their 'Mac Method' three wearing trial run at the office, been home to meet the rest of family and have officially been adopted.
One coat of reno for good measure. They are showing a nice waxy surface at the creases so nothing more but brushing for a while.
As you can see the color is already developing nicely. Me luv!

Gdot, have you begun to notice a change in color on the vamp? From here they look lighter than before. That's a really great shoe you got there.

Spent the AM break changing the laces:

Me likes nu stringies

And yes the color of the shell is already a bit in motion. One of things that I liked about this particular pair was that the shell was very well matched from shoe to shoe. Meaning the direction of the grain, and thus the color variation on the vamp and heal were nearly identical on both feet. Something that only happens when the clicker is paying close attention to how the pieces are laid out and cut and probably even then relies a bit on a symmetrical shell.

NAMOR do you find that those speed hooks pull at your hem? Or no? I would be worried about that when I sat down or crossed my legs.

Love the shoes! But socks' color is very similar to the color of the pants IMO. Not that it looks bad at all, but maybe some different color could highlight the shoes even more.

i can imagine that they will darken the natural way over time and you can help to fasten this process.

I agree.

I tend to like rather subdued socks in general. As I see no reason to draw attention to my ankles. But these are probably a bit too drab overall.

Does it help that my tie and square are bright and my beaming face is like a ray of sunshine? biggrin.gif

My balmoral boots have never pulled a hem. Ever. However, my Alden boots do. The balmoral boot is snug around my ankle and thus takes up less space underneath my pant leg. Plus, Balmoral speedhooks are slimmer. Its not an issue.

I'm actually I can of speedhooks on Balmoral boots because without them, it would be difficult getting the boots on and off
