Yes, I think I agree- though the blue is washed out a bit there. That said, I am not keen on high contrast pant sock combos- as evidenced today as well. Everyone has a pair of these, right?

Stitches- I think you would love life more if you put the laces in from the inside of the top-most eyelet. It will make tying and untying your shoes a much easier experience.

I have the same shoes and use a similar lacing method (old picture, not wearing them today).  I like how it cleans up some of the clutter with the six eyelets.

I always end up with uneven laces when I straight lace. I do like that yours is a bit cleaner. I took it as inspiration and went ahead and hid the crossover on the underside as you have. I think I prefer it look wise, but it is a little harder to tighten. I will roll with it for a while to see how I like it, but may change back.

i do prefer to use oxford lacing on almost all my shoes though.
