Awesome boots by the way.

Thanks.

It is a wall climbing vine in autumn foliage, not sure what species; see the picture below.

your AE boots look so good kw especially with the fall atmospherics
stitches I think your marlows go very well with tan / chinos. They appear to fit you a little better than mine, on mine I have to pull the derby flaps all the way tight.

I went into the back of the guest closet and pulled out some EG boots today

Deets on the gravel?

That grapevine is turning nicely. Here is Delaware, all the leaves just fell off without much pomp.

Thanks CC, but these are Cheaney, not AE; UK made.

Sorry patek, no clue on the gravel, I think it came from a quarry or river bed.

I don't know why Cheaney doesn't get more love. Probably because they aren't as accessible.

I have a few pairs made by Cheaney for Herring; good value IMO.  Those boots are lovely KH, as are CCs.  And Stitch, I don't blame you wanting to wear those over and over again.  Nice with the green socks; great combo.

PB: shark.

my mistake kw, Cheaney looking good
thanks B, stitch and mimo!

hey fellows, these just came in the mail, what do you think.
It's a tyrwhitt made in england conker boot. I don't know maybe loake or cheaney. Dainite sole.
got a pretty good price on ebay.. pretty comfortable roomy fit, toe is a little squared off, and the pebble grain smooths a lot at the toe but overall pleased.
I am heading into boot mode forthe fall, really want the CJ Islay, but Barneys is charging 750 + tax so over 800 foo.gif

That's Loake's 024 last if I'm not mistaken. Can you post a pic of the inner style and last stamp?
Yes, they are Loake, these are mine in Tan:

CT version is made on 026 last in both F and G width, I've asked Loake about this.
024 it's very squared and flat toe (honestly a very bad looking last especially in the Chester Brogue), 026 is soft square perfect with cap toe in my opinion.

They look great indeed, such a shame the 026 last doesn't seem to agree with my feet (8f is just a tiny bit too small lengthwise and 8.5f is way too roomy)

These are very roomy around the instep even with thick socks, instead the Kempton in the same size and width fits me perfectly, different style and pattern - different fit unfortunately.

If you didn't , you should give them a try in size Uk 8, probably it will work.
