Navy socks work.  Also, I'd go darker with the tan shoes, and even a rich burgundy or oxblood can work. I have some light red jeans and these things work for me (at least I think so!).

(P.S. Apology accepted - Apple is the work of Satan.  That whole Garden of Eden thing makes even more sense now, right?)

I'm a fan of sockless or no-show socks with my Go To Hell trousers. I think it captures the WASPy, FU look a bit better than wearing sedate socks. And let's be honest, if you're wearing brightly coloured trousers, you're going for FU, so you may as well go full FU.

Mimo and dewi thank you for the insight. I will post here in the next few weeks. Saving my cheddar for something coming quite soon I hope.

I am sure that, in the local mindset, it will be considered that your shoes and socks are having way too much fun. Enjoy dinner, and your unabashedly FU selection of footwear for the day.

Crusty: only comments received were positive, and my better half thought I looked "delicious", so I'll chalk it up as a win! Like those C&Js btw.

Stitch: I like the colour of your flannels.  I also think you can polish your shoes better, especially as they so fancy.  Those muthas deserve a gleaming cap! fight[1].gif

Rikod: fierce derbies...that's a very nice shape.  Details?
