I antiqued them myself. These are the lowest grade of AS and the finish was a little on the flat side fresh from the box. But I'm happy with them now.

I have a ton of horizontal striped socks and I never wear them anymore. They have just fallen out of favor for me. My girlfriend likes to wear them around my place though. I more or less stopped wearing any socks that the woman that sits near me notices and says that she likes.

I think it is the alternating stripes that makes it a bit jarring.

oh, im kinda going for jarring. i was wondering if the colors or the horizontal striped socks paired with vertical striped pants is considered a no no by some. i like it personally but i like to know what others think/if are there certain "rules" im unaware of.
